Star Seekers 2: Space Shooter

Star Seekers 2 is a top-down arcade space shooter built for people who grew up on the genre. You pilot a starfighter against waves of alien attackers, dodging fire and returning it, through 100 levels with a boss waiting at the end of every one. Enemy patterns evolve as you climb, so the difficulty comes from what the game asks of you, not from a timer or an energy meter.

Every run earns resources. Spend them on your guns, lasers and ship systems, or save toward unlocking a stronger starfighter with its own power and durability profile. Choosing the right ship for the mission ahead matters as much as your reflexes once the later galaxies start throwing real firepower at you.

The game sits inside the wider Star Seekers universe — the Shroud Reaches, the shattered Beacon, and the factions circling what's left of it. Star Seekers 2 is the campaign twenty years after the Shard War, a hunt for five beacon shards before the Hollow wakes up and starts eating stars again.

It is free, it has no ads, and it plays offline. That last combination is rare in arcade shooters, where the usual model is an interstitial between every death. Here the only thing between you and the next level is the boss.
